Ellie

Building on the success of the Ellie dining chair and the search for smaller alternatives in hotel and restaurant areas, we sought to explore how minimal we could go while still maintaining a laid-back and relaxed experience. Furthermore, we were interested in how the handcrafted and machined parts were related. The precision of the woven components, executed by some of the best weavers, aligns perfectly with the industrial and engineered steel frame. The result became a petite but surprisingly comfortable loungechair full of understated details.
