An interesting observation that often crosses my mind during dinner gatherings is that once the dinner plates are cleared and the cutlery is set aside, people’s hands instinctively seek something new to touch and feel. Keeping this in mind, we decided to enhance the chair’s tactile experience by adding shaped wooden pads into the armrests, allowing your hands to explore the various materials and smooth transitions between oak and fabric. With ARCH, we aimed to create a dining chair you would enjoy staying seated in for the entire evening. Due to this, we decided to fully upholster it to optimize comfort. Another noticeable aspect of this chair is the way the different wooden parts meet and blend into each other in seamless transitions. Striving to find the balance between what is pleasant for your eyes and fingers.
